Wednesday before the first day of the Ag Fair is setup day. Volunteers assemble the exhibits and collect and judge the myriad arts and crafts and food in the annual competition for blue ribbons. A line of people dropping off entries formed outside the Ag Hall around noon.

Volunteer Victoria Phillips of West Tisbury accepted fair entries from 11-year-old Ava Grandfield. Ms. Grandfield submitted a three-piece formal wear outfit she made, plus two photographs. Her mother, Tova, to her left, and grandmother Ursula Ferro, to her right, helped carry the entries. The Grandfields, from New York City, are spending the summer with the Ferros of West Tisbury.
