For the love of lobster
The various organizations that serve special lobster roll dinners throughout the summer are winding down their seasons, but there is still time to enjoy them. On Fridays through September 27, dine at Grace Church in Vineyard Haven from 4 to 7:30 pm. On Tuesdays, choose between up-Island or down-Island: both the American Legion Post 257 in Vineyard Haven (through August 27) and the Chilmark Community Church (through September 10) serve from 4:30 to 7 pm. See event listings for more details.
Paddling fun on the pond
Canoe, kayak, row, and stand-up paddle (SUP) your way across Sengekontacket Pond at the 22nd annual Martha’s Vineyard Oar and Paddle Regatta coming up this Sunday, Aug. 25.
