The Martha’s Vineyard Museum will hold the seventh annual “you can’t spell mARTha’s vineyard without A-R-T” Party at a private Edgartown home on Saturday, Sept. 7. A limited number of tickets are still available for $150 each.

Every year the M.V. Museum welcomes fall with a celebration of treasured Vineyard artists. The Art Party features a dozen selected artists who display their work and talk about it over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres with guests.

Artists this year include Traeger DiPietro, Lew French, Anthony Benton Gude, Tony Holand, Meg Mercier, Andrew Moore, Kara Taylor, Kenneth Vincent, David Wallis, Wendy Weldon, Allen Whiting, and Barney Zeitz, whose collective talents represent a wide array of techniques and subjects.

Works will include paintings in various mediums and large and small sculptures. “The Art Party is a one-of-a-kind evening,” wrote M.V. Museum Executive Director David Nathans in a press release. “It’s a unique opportunity for art lovers to gain special insight into the creative mind of not just one but a dozen artists. And,” Nathans added, “it benefits a great cause — the Museum.”

The Art Party takes place on Saturday beginning at 6 pm at a private Edgartown home, the Morby residence. Tickets are $150 each. To purchase tickets, call Jessica at the Museum at 508-627-4441, ext. 117, or email jbarker@mvmuseum.org.
