Sandy Bristoll died on April 29, 2013, in Greeley, Colorado. She was 66.
She was born in Grand Rapids, Mich., on Oct. 30, 1947, to Arthur and Doris (Begley) Grover.
Sandy’s love for the sea and fresh air was evident to all who knew her. Her time living on Martha’s Vineyard was always close to her heart. She enjoyed spending time with her many friends, reading, and especially attending plays. She particularly loved the theater performances of her son, Danny; her love for him was evident in her proud smile and motherly affection. He was the light of her life.
Sandy was an alumna of Michigan State University. She worked as a flight attendant for TWA Airlines, as a legal secretary, as an HR director, and, most recently, as a student services specialist at AIMS Community College in Greeley.
Sandy is survived by her son, Daniel of New York City, and his father, Donald Bristoll; her sister, Patricia (Terry) McSweeney of S.C.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at the Edgartown Lighthouse on Saturday, September 14, at 10 am, with a brunch to follow at the Harbor View Hotel.
