Windemere showcases talented music program at Sunday concert

Windemere Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, based in Oak Bluffs, is honoring its music program and musicians this Sunday, Sept. 8, with the Windemere Celebration of Music concert.

“This concert is to show the Island community all the great music that we have at Windemere, as well as all the wonderful volunteers that contribute to our programs,” wrote Betsy Burmeister, the Recreation Director at Windemere, in an email to The Times.

Musical performances include Carol Loud, WindChime Choir and WindSong Chorus, Jim Thomas and the U.S. Slave Song Spirituals Choir, The Princess PooPooly Ukulele Band, Phil Dietterich and Pam Butterick, Taffy McCarthy and Bob Johnston, Mark Alan Lovewell, Michael Haydn, Rick O’Gorman, and more special guests.

The concert is from 2 to 4 pm at the Tabernacle in Oak Bluffs. There is a suggested donation of $10. For more information, call 508-862-1933.
