Poets’ Corner: Ode to a Large Circle

At first I had a question,

And then I had some doubt,

About the complexities and the workings

Of the dreaded roundabout.

But then I did a drive through,

So functional, so smooth, so swift,

Just what was the big hubbub,

That made so many so miffed?

Think of the gallons of petrol,

That will be saved while round we go,

The blinker, the stop signs, the waiting,

Can never again be called the status quo.
