To the Editor:
It needs fixin’.
One old saying goes, “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.” Well the Congress is broke. In high school, our performance was gaged by a letter grade system, an A for performing at 90 percent or better, a B 80 percent, a C 70 percent, and a D would get us by with a score of 60 percent.
To compensate for the group’s dearth of “mental giants” let’s lower the bar by 10 points and say that no member of Congress can apply for re-election unless they receive a passing grade of at least 50 percent from “We the people.”
