Not a good fit

To the Editor:

To me, it’s very ironic that a person or organization that has made a living selling alcohol and tobacco would be considered a worthy applicant for a medical marijuana dispensary. It is very likely that in a situation like Martha’s Vineyard, it’s very possible that the suffering patients may in fact have to seek relief directly from the very persons who directly or indirectly caused their suffering. I’m not sure across the state how many other applicants hold tobacco and alcohol licenses. It’s just not a good fit.
