Martha’s Vineyard Public Charter School supporters got into 70s-era spirit this past Saturday at the annual Rock Auction party. Held at Dreamland with auctioneers Paul Karasik and Laura Sargent, the auction, “was a huge success with over 125 auction items, including two tickets to see James Taylor live at Tanglewood, plus a private soundcheck,” according to Mr. Karasik, development director at the school.

“This was the first time that the event has been held at Dreamland and the venue was perfect for a 70s themed disco/soul dance party,” he continued in an email. “DJ Jay Araujo spun the sides as revelers in leisure suits with wide lapels along with those in sequined jumpsuits with platform shoes boogied down. The entire crowd caught Saturday Night Fever!”
