National Weather Service forecasters predict snow for Martha’s Vineyard, and much of southeastern New England today.
The weather service issued a winter weather advisory this morning, forecasting two to four inches of snow.
At 9 am, radar images showed a large area of precipitation moving along the mid-Atlantic coast toward New England.
“The bulk of the snowfall will occur late this morning and into early afternoon, then will taper off around the start of the evening commute,” forecasters wrote in the weather advisory.
The forecasters predict temperatures will hover around the freezing mark for most of the day.
Once the storm moves through this evening, clear and much colder weather is expected.
