Kathleen Ann Herlihy died on December 24 in Duxbury. She was 91.
She was born in Boston on July 29, 1922, the daughter of Sarah Lamb and John Donovan of Ireland. She was raised in Roslindale and Jamaica Plain, and she attended Boston Girls Latin and Emmanuel College. She worked as a chemist at Arthur D. Little before marrying Francis Bond Herlihy of Roslindale in 1945. She raised three children in Hillsdale and Saddle River, New Jersey.
In 1974 she returned to Plymouth and earned a doctorate in counseling. She established an active counseling practice in North Plymouth where she also operated the Pilgrim’s Progress B&B with Gil Fox until his death in 1996. She then moved her practice to Edgartown for ten years and returned to Plymouth in 2006.
Kathleen is survived by her three children, Mike, Pat, and Mark, six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her six siblings.
