Oak Bluffs

Welcome to our new year, 2014. Everything will be new and promises to be different.

We have said goodbye to quite a few Oak Bluffs citizens this year, some very young and some older, but all were loved. They include Linda Marinelli, Yvonne Ponte, Michelle Davis, Alice Rose, Paul Straus, Andy Farrissey Sr, Richard DeBettencourt, Richard Brown, John Balboni, Jack Dario, Peter (Mr. Mom) Sullivan, Tim Wey, Linda Swift, Rupert Robinson, and Walter Gallant. We remember you and you are missed.

And we could not let the old year pass without saying thank-you to so many helping hands who enhanced our lives with their contributions. We thank, all emergency personnel, EMS, Fire Department, Police Department, Highway and Park Department who keep our town parks and streets safe and clean, and the school personnel who keep our most precious children educated and safe. And this year double thanks to all the delivery people including, FedEx, UPS and the post office. I think they did an excellent job during this busiest of seasons.
