These animals are looking for fur-ever homes

There are three facilities on the Island that offer animals for adoption: the Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard (ASMV) in Edgartown, Martha’s Vineyard Helping Homeless Animals (MVHHA) in Oak Bluffs, and Angels Helping Animals Worldwide.

The following animals are currently available for adoption, with descriptions courtesy of the respective organizations.

At MVHHA:

Tank.
Tank.

Tank is a 4-year-old gentle giant, a pitbull/terrier mix who wants to please. He is well behaved, gets along with other dogs, cats, and children. He thinks he’s a lap dog and has a big head and even bigger heart.

Sweet Boy.
Sweet Boy.

Sweet Boy, somewhere between 2 and 4 years old, gets along with other cats and has even been around dogs. He is a sweetie that loves to play with toys.

 

 

 

At Angels Helping Animals Worldwide

Pumpkin.
Pumpkin.

Pumpkin is a 4-month-old who is full of play. He is loving with everyone: dogs, cats, and children. This boy will melt your heart.

At ASMV

With the exception of kittens, all animals have been spayed/neutered and are up-to-date on all vaccinations.

Jackson-animal-shelter.jpgJackson is an 11-year-old male who is simply delightful. He is ideally looking for a retired person or someone who works at home. He is currently pending adoption, but interested parties should still contact the shelter.

Richard is a 5-year-old male who was found as a stray in Edgartown. A great companion cat, his adoption is currently pending, but interested parties should still contact the shelter.

Lucky-animal-shelter.jpgLucky is a neutered male stray found in the Dodger’s Hole, Edgartown, area. He is a really nice cat and a great friend, and he gets along with everybody. We think he’s approximately 4 years old.

Tortellini-animal-shelter.jpgTortellini is a spayed female stray found in Vineyard Haven. A real cuddler, we think she is approximately 5 years old. She is very friendly.
