MV girls top Somerset Berkley 37-22

The Martha’s Vineyard varsity girls basketball team used a suffocating defense to earn a big 37-22 road win Friday over Eastern Athletic Conference rival Somerset Berkley. Erin Hill led the Vineyarders with 17 points. Kat deBettencourt added 11 more.

M.V. improved to 8-6, 2-3 EAC and hosts Coyle Cassidy in a league contest Friday at 4:30.
