To the Editor:
I thank the kind man who stopped to help me get my car on the road last Wednesday morning. On that slushy, snowy morning, my tires spun uselessly as I tried to get up Oriental Avenue to Barnes Road. Trying to get to work, with my one-year-old in the backseat, I was getting increasingly frustrated. You saw me struggling and turned your car around to help, then spent the next 15 minutes pushing my non-4-wheel-drive vehicle and guiding me onto the road. During a time of year when many of us question why we live here, your unexpected kindness was a welcome reminder of why I do.
