Oak Bluffs: flowers and the sounds of hammers

Chirping birds, a little bit of green leaves poking up from flower beds, sounds of hammers and construction all mean that spring is here. On Sunday, however, we were being alerted to a large nor’easter with snow set to arrive within a few days. As long as it is the last of the snow until 2015, I guess we will survive it.

With the coming of spring also comes spring cleaning so you may reduce your clutter in an environmentally friendly way while contributing to the programs and services of MV Community Services. Bring your personal or business’ old and tired: air conditioners, cell phones, computers, copiers, dehumidifiers, fax machines, microwaves, monitors, laptops, printers, refrigerators, scanners, stereo equipment, TVs, washers, dryers, etc. to the MV Community Services campus on Saturday, April 12th from 9 am to 2 pm. Fees between $1-$30 and a 10 percent discount for car loads! All proceeds go to MV Community Services.
