The RCBL season will come down to one last game. The defending champion Suns evened the best of three championship series at one game apiece with a gritty 98-88 win over the Heat Monday evening in Edgartown.

If not as breathless as game one, a 114-112 Heat win, the second game of the series was another entertaining, physical contest.

Throughout the first half, the teams continued the up-tempo play from game one. Neither team led by more than six points. By halftime, there was nothing between them, with the score tied at 49-49.

The Suns gradually took control in the second half by slowing the pace and playing a solid half-court game built around quick, accurate perimeter passing and high percentage shots. The Suns started off the third quarter with a 13-4 run and held the lead the rest of the way. They also excelled at the charity stripe, going 15 for 18 in the second half.

Jade Cash led the Suns with 32 points. Asil Cash scored 26 and shot 14 of 18 from the free throw line. Paul Linderson added 19.

Nick Viera was the high scorer for the Heat with 25 points. Lucas Brewer scored 18 and Will Fielding had 12.

Game three tips off Monday night at 6:15 at the Boys and Girls Club in Edgartown.
