For Vineyarders seeking a great summer job or wishing to add an additional skill to their resumes, the Mansion House Health Club will offer American Red Cross Life-Saving certification. Classes are scheduled for May 1, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, 12, and 15 (approx. 31 hours total) on evenings and weekends.

Aquatics Director Jennifer Fragosa supervises and teaches through videos, group discussion, and hands-on practice. Participants learn teamwork, rescue and surveillance skills. The course meets at the Mansion House Pool.

The American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguarding course teaches participants the knowledge and skills to recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies, preventing drowning and injuries.  Register now to be a certified lifeguard for waterfront locations.

Swimmers must be at least 15 years old, be able to swim 550 yards continuously, swim underwater 45 feet, swim 20 yards and retrieve a 10-pound diving brick; and tread water for two minutes without using hands.

The cost is $350 (registration required). For more information, call 508-693-2200 or email info@mvmansionhouse.com
