Ballplayers need housing

Ballplayers need housing

To the Editor:

The Martha’s Vineyard Sharks are looking for three more spots for players to live this summer. If you have a bedroom in your house, we’d love to hear from you. Players arrive in the beginning of June and leave by mid-August. This is a collegiate baseball league, so these are college age boys coming to the Island to play ball for the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks. A stipend of $500 is paid to participating host families. Each family will also receive a season pass to all our home games.

These boys have been a welcome addition to many Island homes for the past three summers, and we are looking to add some more Island families to our list of supporters this June. It’s a great opportunity for a family with young ball players, as well as a lively addition to just about any kind of family.

If you are interested please email me at Jessica@mvsharks.com. You may also go to mvsharks.com and click on the host family tab. We have described what it takes to become a host family there. Please consider it.
