The Martha’s Vineyard Little League officially celebrated opening day on a sun-splashed Saturday morning with the annual parade in Oak Bluffs.

Players, coaches, and parents from every team in Majors, Minors, Farm League, and T-ball made their way in a colorful procession from the Oak Bluffs police station down Circuit Avenue, arriving at Veira Park for the opening ceremonies. Head umpire Larry Johnson threw out the first pitch. Following the parade, nearly every team in the four leagues took to diamonds around the Island to play ball.
