The boys Under-12 MV United Hammers travel soccer team drew, 3-3, with visiting Sandwich Saturday at Veterans Park.

The visitors pressed from the start and scored just three minutes into the match. Ben Taylor brought the Hammers level in the 10th minute, scoring from outside the box.

Sandwich led, 2-1, at halftime and added a third goal two minutes into the second half, but the Hammers dug deep and ground out a well-deserved draw.

Morgan Estrella put the ball in the onion bag from inside the box in the 46th minute, and Josh Sampaio equalized six minutes later by converting a free kick.

The MV United U-12 Blues squad traveled to top-of-the-table Norton Saturday and returned home on the short end of a 9-0 score. The Vineyard side played with heart but fell behind early in the match and were outclassed by a superior team. The second half was far more competitive, but no goals were to be had.

In other MV United boys action, the U-14 Bs blanked visiting Mashpee, 4-0, on Saturday, while the U-18s thrashed host Wareham, 10-0, on Sunday.
