Helen E. Rogers of Edgartown died on Sunday, April 27 at the Royal Nursing Home in Falmouth. She was 89.
She was born and raised on Martha’s Vineyard where she lived most of her life. She made and had many friends, and she was a loving mother. She worked at various jobs throughout her life. She had a quick wit. She loved eating out, doing crossword puzzles, and knitting.
She was predeceased by Mary and Robert Baptiste; a son, John Rogers; grandson, Brian Bivens; two sisters, and two brothers.
She is survived by her children Lydia Dixon, Judith Hay, and Donald Rogers. Also by 10 grandchildren, Will and Morgan Rogers; Fred, Eric, Lance, Brant, and Shawn Bivens; Michael Dixon, Deborah Accardo, and Judith Imbraguglio; six great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren; two sisters and one brother.
Her faith sustained her to the end. She will be greatly missed.
