Two Island women competed at the Reebok CrossFit Games North East Regional this past weekend in Canton. CrossFit Martha’s Vineyard owner Sara Hill Mass came in 8th place and Keidy Toomey, formerly of Edgartown who now lives in Rhode Island, finished in 12th, both in the Individual Women’s category that boasted 34 competitors.

Ms. Toomey graduated from Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School in 2005 and opened the first CrossFit gym on the Island at the M.V. Boys and Girls Club in 2012.

Ms. Hill Mass moved to Martha’s Vineyard from Albany, N.Y. last year when she took over CrossFit Martha’s Vineyard, which is located in Vineyard Haven. For more information on the games, visit games.crossfit.com.
