Pamela E. Bounds Peia died in Washington, D.C., on April 29, 2014. She was 81.
Born in Sittingbourne, United Kingdom, Pamela will be remembered as an artist with a special talent for creating something out of the simplest finds. She was an award-winning artist on the Vineyard, taking prizes for her beach glass jewelry, her felted bird, and her painting. She could figure out most any problem you had with knitting. She and her husband, Rich, were avid bridge players.
She was a kind, caring, and longtime active community member in Washington, D.C., and Martha’s Vineyard.
A celebration of her life was held on May 31 at Davies Memorial Unitarian Universalist Church in Temple Hills, Maryland. Memories of her life were shared by her husband, Richard H. Peia, her brother, Peter Lindridge, her children, Linda Conte (Tony), Tim Nettleton (Greta), and Anthony Bounds (Dee); stepchildren, Shannon Hays (Steve), and Wendy Oakes (Dan), grandchildren and great grandchildren and many dear friends and family.
There will be a memorial for Pam at the Martha’s Vineyard Unitarian Universalist Church in Vineyard Haven (Date to be determined).
