Born on January 26, 1916, in Cambridge, Caroline was one of seven children of Charles and Maria Giacchetto. Caroline grew up in Cambridge, where she worked at her family’s bakery.
Caroline first came to the Vineyard in the 1950s where she and her family would stay with friends. She built a home of her own with her husband, Andrew, in Oak Bluffs in 1971. While Caroline was on the Island she was employed as a house cleaner.
Caroline was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Cambridge. Caroline enjoyed sewing, knitting and loved to cook for her family. Some of her favorites were homemade pizza and pasta. We would always look forward to Nana’s hot chocolate after a day at the beach.
