Let’s go fly a kite

The annual Martha’s Vineyard Wind Festival is this Saturday, Sept. 6, at Ocean Park in Oak Bluffs. The day begins at 10:30 am with a free kite-making class for kids; then kids 12 and under fly kites from 12 noon to 1 pm; from 1 to 2 pm ages 13-19 fly; from 2 to 4 pm ages 20 plus. From 4 to dusk is kite flying for all. In addition to all of the kite flying, have fun with frisbee games, model sailboat racing, and live music. The rain date is Sunday, Sept. 7.
