From 5 pm to 9 pm on Thursday, Sept. 25, in celebration of this summer’s first annual Martha’s Vineyard Sound Festival, which took place July 12 in Waban Park, the Workshop in Vineyard Haven will auction off a collaborative painting created at the event by Vineyard artists Dan VanLandingham, Traeger di Pietro, and David Tierney.
Guests can bid for the painting in a silent auction. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Island Collaborative, which according to the M.V. Sound web site is a nonprofit which “will facilitate collaboration between Island civic organizations, local government, schools, businesses, nonprofits, and individuals, to accomplish projects Islanders want and need.” More information about the Island Collaborative will be provided at Thursday’s event.
A lineup of Island-based musicians will play live music throughout the evening. The event is free, and open to the public of all ages. For more information, visit marthasvineyardsound.com, or see the Workshop’s Facebook page.
