Since 2011, farm-to-takeout spot 7a Foods in West Tisbury has been a local favorite. Regulars flock there daily for a freshly baked biscuit, or a Liz Lemon — 7a’s addictive take on a Reuben sandwich, topped with potato chips. The restaurant’s inspiration comes from the local resources of the Island and owners Dan Sauer and Wenonah Madison’s commitment to quality and freshness. The focus at 7a Foods is to develop close relationships with producers, hand-select quality items for their store, and whenever possible, make everything from scratch using locally sourced ingredients.
In addition to their popular breakfast and lunch items made to order, 7a stocks a variety of baked goods and prepared foods, including soups, salads, and snacks to take home — earning their title of Best Picnic, courtesy of Best of the Vineyard 2016 awards. Loads of other Island goodies are also available, including Chilmark Coffee and Not Your Sugar Mamas chocolate. 7a Foods, 1045 State Road, West Tisbury. 7afoods.com, 508-693-4636.
