The Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School (MVRHS) boys tennis team raised its record to 2-1 with a 5-0 shutout victory over the host Sandwich Blue Knights on Thursday.
First singles player Zak Danz defeated Vincent Tanguilag 6-1, 6-1.
Aksel Cooperrider earned his first victory of the season, defeating Marcus Receive at second singles 6-3, 6-4.
Chris Ferry beat Brett Ryinsha at third singles 6-2, 6-0.
The first doubles tandem of Max Hammond and Owen Favreau topped Matt Sturgis and Andy Middle 6-2, 6-1, while James Kelliher and Garrett Zeilinger downed Jack Greenhalgh and Maddy Seminary at second doubles 6-1, 6-1.
Owen Favreau and Chris Ferry lead the team with three wins apiece. Zak Danz, Max Hammond and James Kelliher have each won a pair.
