Jeri Dantzig’s fused glass creations incorporate a wide tapestry of colors, shapes, and sizes. Having been a former restaurateur, she transitioned easily to making functional tableware, furniture, sculpture, and wall and window art. “Nothing surpasses the tone and richness of glass.” Jeri left her restaurant on the Island 15 years ago to begin the first of her studies at Corning Glass, and hasn’t looked back since. It was an easy leap to working on a wonderful presentation on the plate to the actual plate itself. Her studies provided her with the basis of making strong, useful tableware from small dishes and coasters to extra large serving pieces. Knowing her process well, the glass pieces can be cut on, used as a cheese board, and put in the dishwasher as well. Her work adds colorful brilliance to any environment and makes lovely house gifts for any occasion. Jeri’s work can be found at the Night Heron Gallery in Vineyard Haven, Labor Day at the Vineyard Artisans Festival, Chilmark Flea Market, and by contacting her at email@example.com.
