There is a change in leadership at the Island Grown Initiative, according to a press release from the organization. Keith Wilda, the Farm Hub director, has resigned to take a position off-Island, and is being replaced by Matthew Dix.

Mr. Dix is a longtime Island resident who owns North Tabor Farm with his wife, Rebecca. He is a long-term employee of the Land Bank, but also has had a relationship with the Island Grown Initiative as its mobile poultry-processing manager.

Mr. Wilda will remain as a senior consultant to continue with projects that are in process. Under his leadership, the Island Grown Initiative has “grown significantly and developed strong relationships with many local farmers,” according to the release.
