Artist Jannette Vanderhoop makes unique colorful handcrafted arts using natural found materials.

Take a piece of the Island home — a treasure to connect you to the rich history of Martha’s Vineyard. Aquinnah Wampanoag Jannette Vanderhoop makes unique colorful handcrafted arts using natural found and reconstituted materials. Her designs are inspired by nature and Native American culture.
Jannette works in the community as an educator, yoga instructor and master gardener, and seeks to promote environmental stewardship through an appreciation of her art. The materials inspire the work: From wampum, stones, feathers, leathers, and bones, Jannette makes rustic collectors’ items that are sure to be timeless. Jannette has been making and selling at the Martha’s Vineyard artisans festival for the last 13 years. She sells at the How-Wass-Wee Trading Post on the cliffs and at the Gay Head Gallery Keep an eye out for her treasure box show featuring 11 themed boxes created over ten years time!
