The West Tisbury Free Public Library and the Martha’s Vineyard Film Society announce a free, interactive screening of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” at the Martha’s Vineyard Film Center at 1 pm on Wednesday, April 18. According to a press release, doors will open at 12:30 pm with an Interactive Script, Goodie Bags, and a Sorting Hat to help young witches and wizards choose a Hogwarts House. This is a one-time-only event.
This event marks the second recent collaboration between the West Tisbury library and the Martha’s Vineyard Film Society, the first being a free public screening of the documentary “Ex Libris” and fundraiser for the Island Food Pantry in December. The event also marks a continuation of the Martha’s Vineyard Film Society efforts to expand their youth programming, which includes the Young Adult Film Series in collaboration with OysterMV, the Science on Screen Film Series, and a youth filmmaking camp in the summer with MVTV.
