All are invited to the annual Friends of the West Tisbury Library book sale on Friday, July 27, through Monday, July 30, at the West Tisbury Elementary School:

Friday, July 27, from 9 am to 3 pm — full price

Saturday, July 28, from 9 am to 3 pm — full price

Sunday, July 29, from 9 am to 3 pm — half-price

Monday, July 30, from 9 am to 3 pm — free

According to a press release, for over 50 years, the Friends of the West Tisbury Library have raised substantial money by selling donated books. This annual sale is a four-day event that recycles over 20,000 books each year. The sale raises about $20,000 each summer to support library needs.

Many dedicated buyers arrange their summer schedule to include the sale, always held at the end of July or early August. The organization of the sale, which is so often lauded by patrons, is thanks to over 30 volunteers who work for the month of July sorting and pricing donations. Special thanks to our year-round sorters, Lee and Helen.

If you have still have books you would like to donate, please bring them to the West Tisbury School gymnasium on weekdays between 9 am to 12 pm. The deadline for dropping off donations is July 20.

The Friends appreciate your book-sale donations, thank you for your support of the library, and hope to see you at the sale.
