The only kind of Deer Tick welcome on Martha’s Vineyard is coming on Wednesday, July 25, at 8 pm. Head to the Lampost Bar on Circuit Ave. in Oak Bluffs to hear Rhode Island-based music group Deer Tick take the stage during a stop on their world tour.

Deer Tick is made up of frontman John McCauley, guitarist Ian O’Neil, drummer Dennis Ryan, and bassist Christopher Ryan. The group has a folk-rooted, acoustic, rock, and blues sound, but doesn’t fit into one particular mold. They favor unexpected mashups, layering tender lyrics over heavy guitar. They’ve been together since 2004, and only recently regrouped, proving their sound only gets better with age.

Catch this talented and widely recognized group at the intimate and historic Lampost venue. The show is part of the Martha’s Vineyard Concert Series. Tickets are $43, and can be purchased on mvconcertseries.com. For more information, visit the website.
