From church services
with soaring hymns of praise and altars banked with lilies, to egg
decorating parties and jolly egg hunts at private homes and neighborhood
organizations, and brunches and dinners with friends and family, Islanders
made the most of a brilliantly sunny Easter Sunday. It was a day of
rejoicing for many reasons, not the least of which was the mild spring
weather that drew many out for afternoon walks following more traditional
festivities. |
