Shorts July 28, 2005 Herbal wisdom This Tuesday, Aug. 2, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, Kristen Kinser will host an herbal healing workshop at Hillside Farm on State Road, West Tisbury. The three-hour seminar will focus on herbal remedies for common first aid situations including bee stings, simple cuts and abrasions, sunburns, tick bites, jelly fish stings and poison ivy, among others. Participants will gain knowledge based on their individual needs, as well as receive a take-home kit and learn tips on how to grow the herbs themselves. A light lunch from the garden will be served. The course is open to adults and children over the age of 12. Cost is $100, call to pre-register, 508-696-8920. |
