- Flock to Felix Neck's annual Fall Festival
For the 28th year in a row, Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary is offering Vineyard families an opportunity to shake off their Thanksgiving Day feasts with a full day of fun and learning. - In Print : Dreaming Together
"Dreaming Together" is never pedantic and the dream examples West Tisbury resident Jon Lipsky uses, some of which are his own, make for a fun read. - Chilmark jams
Musicians can be hard to track down in the summer, running wildly from bars to weddings to concerts. Music can be found every weekend, and there is always some kind of music during the week. After the summer the crowds depart the Island, but many of the musicians stay put for the winter. Alex Karalekas wanted to make sure that the musicians didn't hibernate, and last fall he organized the first Chilmark Potluck Jam at the Chilmark Community Center. - Chamber music performance
The Martha's Vineyard Chamber Music Society continues a holiday tradition this weekend, presenting a concert on Saturday, Nov. 29, that gives Vineyard music lovers a little bit extra to be thankful for. - Melinda Loberg: A worthy spirit
When Melinda Loberg retired 10 years ago and moved to Martha's Vineyard with her husband, Michael, she was not looking to spend the remainder of her life digging dandelions out of her front lawn. Instead Ms. Loberg embarked on what she refers to as "a second career as a volunteer." - Belief in community
Some people just can't let well enough alone. Pushed along by curiosity and determination, they're constantly peering over the horizon for new ideas to make a difference to people around them. - Short Subjects

- Here when you need it: Island Food Pantry
It is a cold, grey Wednesday afternoon in November, and the Island Food Pantry is quietly buzzing with activity. Marcia Randol, a 10-year volunteer, is carrying bags of groceries for an elderly man, while Bill Bennett, another longtime volunteer, helps a young woman fill out paperwork. - Off North Road : New watch
My son Steve gave me a new watch. He said, "The numbers on your old one are too small for you. You'll always be late." - Martha's Vineyard Garden Club Report : Frugal and festive holiday arrangements
Over 45 members and guests of the Martha's Vineyard Garden Club filled the Wakeman Center to attend the club's annual and most popular program: the November Holiday Creations Workshop. - Birds : Thanksgiving birding
This most American of holidays shows just how important birds are in our lives. What would the traditional Thanksgiving feast be without the turkey? - Community Shorts

- Shining Examples
While paintings and photographs of landscapes and seascapes may be the dominant offering of Island artists, there are those whose inspiration translates to gold, silver and semi-precious stones. - Off-Season At North Water
Even without Edgartown's frenetic summer crowds and gallery-goers, there remains a full agenda of tasks at the North Water Gallery. - Shows & Openings
