Mercury is in retrograde motion for most of June – he begins moving backwards on June 7 and stays that way until July 1. This gives you one week to get ready and do all the things best done when Mercury is direct – shop for expensive items, fix what should be repaired so it doesn’t break at an inopportune time, put in orders, start new projects, take a new job or hire a new employee. He will travel from 3 degrees of Cancer back to 24 degrees of Gemini. Where those degrees fall in your chart is the area of life that need revising and review.

Summer Solstice is on June 21. The fact that the season starts with Mercury retrograde adds twists and turns to your expectations for this summer. You need to stay flexible and jump at any opportunities that present themselves. Both Neptune and Chiron turn retrograde during June and set a theme for the summer that requires you to depend on you right brain for answers and directions.

Monday, June 2 – Moon in Leo. June begins with an optimistic outlook. You have to do the important work for the month during three days of this week while Mercury is still in direct motion and the moon is active. Put in your orders, start your projects, and sign legal documents. Resist the urge to play and party, there’s plenty of time for that later on. Don’t waste any time today.

Tuesday, June 3 – Moon in Leo, VC 10:42 am. Get up early to use the good morning hours. Set things up so you can just follow through during the rest of the day. Stay out of the garden except to mow or weed. Meet with friends to share meals and play games. Take the kids outside and enjoy the long evening light.

Wednesday, June 4 – Moon VC Leo, enters Virgo 10:20 am. Start moving once the moon changes sign and keep working for the next two days since they are the only ones that are good for business. Make lists and stay on task. Order the things you need and go shopping for the big-ticket items. Get the car and computer serviced. Buy new phones, iPads, and printers.

Thursday, June 5 – Moon in Virgo. Today is the last good day you get to work with a direct, although slow moving, Mercury. Call to schedule the appointments you need to make. Create a plan you can follow for the month. Organize your office and home. Get the important things done today. Work late into the night and do tomorrow’s work.

Friday, June 6 – Moon VC Virgo. Finish up what you started this week. Let the day flow on as you clean up and recycle old papers and bottles. The Sun and Uranus giggle at your efforts and tempt you to do something outside your comfort zone. Let their spontaneity take over at least a part of the day. Eat a healthy dinner tonight and make a plan to improve your diet.

Saturday, June 7 – Moon in Libra. Mercury turns retrograde at 7:57 am.  Everything will seem different, as if you’re looking from the other side of the mirror. Welcome this new perspective. It’s a good day to plant flowers and flowering bushes. Pay back your social obligations with an impromptu dinner party. Catch up on your friend’s news and other gossip. This can be a lovely relaxing day if you let things be.

Sunday, June 8 – Moon in Libra, VC 3:47 pm. Plant more flowers and then go back to an art gallery and buy that picture that’s hanging around in your mind, the one you liked and almost bought. The Sun challenges Chiron and they help you to give another look at what you do to keep yourself healthy and realize what is working for you and what isn’t. The energy is hot for a passionate sensuous evening.

May brings relief from the tension of the past few months. Mars continues to move in retrograde motion until the evening of May 19. You are probably used to his sluggish energy by now. When he turns direct it will take some adjustment to be able to say I want to do this and then go out and be able to do it on the first try. You might pick up projects you laid aside or find that you need to stop putting your energy into a losing venture. Listen to your intuition. Mars has taught you how you need to refine your relationship skills and that it’s important to be aware of your temper. Mars turns direct at 9 degrees of Libra.

There is a short window for action between May 20 and June 7, the day Mercury begins his next retrograde cycle. Use this time well.

May seems to have an unusually large amount of days where the moon is VC all day. Pay attention and adjust your schedule to accommodate this.

Monday, May 19 – Moon in Aquarius. Mars turns direct at 9:31 pm. You’ll feel him stop and get ready to change direction and the energy of the day will reflect this. We are also at the end of Taurus. Today is a day of transition when you want to look ahead and leave any old obstacles behind you. It is easier than usual to see the big picture so look at that, not at the petty stuff.

Tuesday, May 20 – Moon in Aquarius, VC 6:21 pm. The Sun enters Gemini 10:59 pm. Since this is the last day when you have Taurus giving you his common sense advice, take advantage of being able to focus and stay grounded. It’s a good day to shop for big-ticket items, decide on and make calls to schedule home repairs, and pay attention to your body. Everyone will seem stubborn today so don’t push your opinion, just listen.

Wednesday, May 21 – Moon in Pisces. Use your intuition to tell you what to do today. Your feeling sense is strong and will pull in good information. It won’t be as easy to continue in one direction so give yourself a few options and don’t worry if nothing gets finished today. It’s a perfect day to plant berry bushes and other kinds of shrubs.

Thursday, May 22- Moon in Pisces. You can keep on planting and expect good results. This is a very fertile moon. The weekend will not be good for planting so don’t think about waiting to garden.  Be helpful to others who can use some assistance. Go out of your way to do some acts of kindness. Your generosity will be rewarded later on.

Friday, May 23 – Moon VC Pisces, enters Aries 12:01 pm. Dream through the morning and imagine all good things coming to you. Your energy picks up after lunch and you can catch up with what didn’t get done this week. It will be hard to sit still and you need to multitask and move around quickly. Meet with friends tonight and do something that is daring and exciting.

Saturday, May 24 – Moon in Aries. If your garden calls to you, go do some weeding and cultivating. It’s a great day to mow the lawn. Jupiter and Saturn blend their energies and show you that a combination of wishing and working produces good results. Let your inner daredevil out to play. Go do what you want to do after you’ve gotten what you have to do done.

Sunday, May 25 – Moon in Aries, VC from 11:58 am until 5:28 am when it enters Taurus. It’s a lazy Sunday and a good day to be on holiday. Let go of your shoulds and oughts and take a day for yourself. Do your favorite sports. Take the dog for a long walk. Protect your head and hold on to your temper. Don’t let anyone rile you up.

Monday, May 12 – Moon VC Libra, enters Scorpio 9:07 pm. The moon is void all day. Leave your serious work until tomorrow and fill today with socializing, networking, and firming up your relationships. It’s a good day to redecorate. Put away the winter items and make your home and office bright and sunny. Buy some new artwork for your walls.

Tuesday, May 13 – Moon in Scorpio. You need to get the whole week’s work done in the next three days. You’ll do best if you tackle the assignments that interest you personally. You can go in depth on a topic and follow it through to the end. It’s a great day for planting, one of the best this month, so make time to do your gardening after work.

Wednesday, May 14 – Moon in Scorpio, VC 3:16 pm. Today’s full moon is called the Buddha moon. It is an auspicious day to meditate and sit in stillness. Jupiter and Chiron enhance this opportunity to find inner peace. Venus and Pluto combine and ask you to go deep inside and examine where your passions lie. You may need to rebel against the restrictions another is placing upon you.

Thursday, May 15 – Moon in Sagittarius. Even though you know you have to do tomorrow’s work today, you’ll feel restless and want to break out of your work routine. Your mind seeks stimulation and new encounters. You can awake to new possibilities and find new things and new people to love. Find a group to exercise with so you’ll get out to be more active.

Friday, May 16 – Moon VC Sagittarius. Save the important work for tomorrow when the energy for it is better and use today as your weekend play day, if you can. Get outside and take a long walk, or bike ride, or kayak. Do something athletic and fun. It’s a barren moon so avoid the garden.

Thursday, May 17 – Moon in Capricorn. Go back over what you did this past week and make any necessary corrections. Reorganize your schedule for next few months and take another look at all your lists of priorities. You can have conversations that will heal old wounds if you are honest with your words. Ask elderly friends for their wisdom on the situation.

Friday, May 18 – Moon in Capricorn. Today is a good day to think about and take steps towards your future. Give your career a boost with enthusiasm towards developing and growing it. There’s luck in the air if you make an effort to find it. You can meet, or contact, people who are beneficial for you. Plant root crops and bulbs on this earthy day.

The tension of the month culminates with the powerful solar eclipse on Tuesday, April 29. There’ll be a whole lot of shaking going on, in the world and in your life.

Monday, April 28 – Moon VC Aries, enters Taurus 10:23 am. This is an old moon on the day before a powerful solar eclipse. It’s another day to hold back on initiating new projects. Take it slow and easy. It’s okay to feel tired, so try to take a nap when you can. This is good energy for getting rid of stuff and taking it to the recycling center or thrift store.

Tuesday, April 29 – Moon in Taurus. Today is the new moon and a solar eclipse. Something new is starting which can increase the comfort level of your material world. Spend some time appreciating nature and contemplate the serenity of the earth element that manifests in this season. Plant a tree. Take time for prayer or reciting mantras. It is a spiritually auspicious day when you will receive great benefit from meditation.

Wednesday, April 30 – Moon in Taurus, VC from 11:53 am until 4:56 pm when it enters Gemini. The energy is still unsettled from yesterday’s eclipse. Do what you need to do during the morning or late afternoon and spend the middle of the day on a long lunch with friends or taking a walk in the woods. Quiet your mind so you can listen to what your inner voice is saying to you.

Thursday, May 1 – Moon in Gemini, VC 7:32 pm. It’s May Day aka Beltane, an ancient day for holding fertility rituals. Keep them symbolic, as this is not a fertile moon for planting. Your mind will be full of good ideas and it is a productive day to put them in action. Feed your curiosity; you’ll need to ask a lot of questions. You have the energy to do two days’ work so do tomorrow’s important tasks.

Friday, May 2 – Moon VC Gemini. Mercury and Saturn urge you to sit and do that writing you have been putting aside. You can research for facts you want to document and have the mental agility to search in various places. Venus enters Aries and she becomes more daring and insists that you add some thrills to your life. She shows you how to have love on your own terms.

Saturday, May 3 – Moon in Cancer. This is the weekend to plant! You won’t find a better time so spend some long hours in the garden and yard. It’s also a prime day to loosen up and make some major changes in your life patterns. Be dynamic in rooting out places where you are stuck and throwing what’s used and outgrown into your psyche’s compost pile.

Sunday, May 4 – Moon in Cancer. Keep on planting. The seeds you plant today will grow well. It’s a day to cook for and feed the family. Gather with as many family members as you can and share happy memories while you eat together. Have an early celebration of Mother’s Day since Cancer moon wants to honor mother.

April 2014 is a wild month. There are two eclipses – a Lunar eclipse on April 15 to add more tension to tax day, and a solar eclipse on April 29. The lunar eclipse is at 25 degrees of Libra, next to Mars, and the Solar is at 8 degrees of Taurus. If you have planets at or near those degrees, you will feel the effect of the eclipses strongly and there will be big changes in your life. The last two weeks of the month will be unstable, like trying to keep your balance while standing up in a canoe.

Pluto, Uranus, Mars, and Jupiter form a square by degrees and signs. This is a signal of tension and is another herald of big change. Something that started in the mid-sixties and has been developing since then will erupt. It’s like turning up the heat on a pot that has been simmering and watching it spill over the top. Anyone with planets at 13-15 degrees of Capricorn, Aries, Libra, and Cancer must be ready for their world to be shaken up.

Mars continues to move backwards all month making you feel like you’re trying to run in a swampy marsh. Take deep breaths and stay loose. This too shall pass.

Monday, April 21 – Moon in Capricorn, VC 7:21 pm. You want to keep everything organized and in order, but forces beyond your control cause eruptions and explosions. Something that started a very long time ago is being activated. Stay safe and away from potentially dangerous areas. Put your efforts into work and improving your daily output.

Tuesday, April 22 – Moon in Aquarius. This is not a day to rest. You will be dealing with some interesting and exciting events as Mars gooses Jupiter to deliver some golden opportunities. You’ll feel the conflict between thinking about them and having to go and grab them. Today is not a day to be lazy or you’ll miss out on something special that is being offered to you.

Wednesday, April 23 – Moon in Aquarius, VC 12:10 pm. The excitement continues with Mars pushing up against Pluto and standing opposite Uranus. He is revving up the energy for major change. Get ready to step out of the way and also to let go of whatever shakes loose. Mercury moves into Taurus to give you down to earth thoughts about what is going on.

Thursday, April 24 – Moon in Pisces. Take some deep breaths and move into your heart center. This is a week of extreme and unusual planetary events. You will need to sit and repeat, “This too shall pass.” Your intuition gives you guidance on what to say, do, and where to go. Everyone is having a tough time so be sure to extend your time and energy to those who are in need of them. It will help you if you help others.

Friday, April 25 – Moon in Pisces, VC 4:03 pm. This is a fertile day when dreams can come true, so take some time in the morning to write them down. You can settle any money issues that have been dragging on. It’s a day to propose to your loved one or to find another way to cement your relationship. Pay attention to the ideas that enter your head, as you will be using them in the future.

Saturday, April 26 – Moon in Aries. This is a weekend to do what you want to do. Think of it as the Universe giving you a few personal days. Hold back on planting but it’s a great day to prune and mow the lawn, or get a haircut. Try creative writing in a new style or make a video. Run a race or try an extreme sport. Test your courage by facing a fear.

Sunday, April 27 – Moon VC Aries. Don’t even try to get anything important done. Just follow your fancy and do what comes to mind. The Sun and Neptune have a pleasant connection and they take you into other worlds through imagination and fantasy. You’ll be moved to stay active so do what feels like fun to you.

Mars continues to move backwards all month making you feel like you’re trying to run in a swampy marsh. Take deep breaths and stay loose. This too shall pass.

Monday, April 14 – Moon in Libra. Pluto turns retrograde at 7:44 pm. Pluto is known to upset the day when he changes direction so be careful and watch your back. Tomorrow’s eclipse is also stirring up the energy and nothing will be as you thought it would be. Take action, even if it’s symbolic, to turn things in the direction you want them to go. Affirmations are powerful and helpful today.

Tuesday, April 15 – Moon VC Libra, enters Scorpio12: 20 pm. Today’s full moon is eclipsed and marks the beginning of a two week period when things are upsetting, not stable. It is a good day to let go of old patterns of behavior and response. Give serious thought to all relationships and take action if some have run their course and have no life left in them. Make sure that your present day circumstances are not limited by past actions.

Wednesday, April 16 – Moon in Scorpio. Try to diffuse any irritation that came out of yesterday’s discussions. Eclipses do rock the boat. You have the energy to speak your mind and will say what needs to be said but keep your anger in check. Let go of negative feelings. It is a fertile day for planting perennials and berry bushes. Write in your journal tonight.

Thursday, April 17 – Moon VC Scorpio, enters Sagittarius 5:44 pm. It’s an expansive, blow open your boundaries, type of day. Luck is with you, though it’s better to wait until tonight to buy those lottery tickets or take a big step. You want to stay active and can put your energy toward finishing things. Go swimming if you can. Once the moon is in Sagittarius, be as bold as you can be.

Friday, April 18 – Moon in Sagittarius. Take a personal day, if you can, to go on a trip, or take a workshop to learn something new.  If you have to finish up the week at work, put your energy to selling ideas or products. You can instruct co-workers on how to do things with greater emphasis. Do any of the work that involves international business. Go out tonight and look at the stars.

Saturday, April 19 – Moon in Sagittarius, VC from 9:17 pm until 9:28 pm when it enters Capricorn. The Sun enters Taurus at 11:56 pm. Today is the last full day of Aries and the last day when there is an abundance of fiery energy to get you moving. Stay active – go hiking, take a course, teach a course, do some exploring. Do what you want to do — you don’t want to be limited and need the freedom to roam.

Sunday, April 20 – Moon in Capricorn. You’ll feel connected to the earth, literally. The Sun and Moon in earth signs grounds you and changes your perspective. Your thinking is practical and you want to plan ahead. It is beneficial to slow down and be aware of the stressful patterns of energy that the outer planets are making. Proceed with compassion and strive to heal the earth, her animals, and your fellow human beings.

Mars continues to move backwards all month making you feel like you’re trying to run in a swampy marsh. Take deep breaths and stay loose. This too shall pass.

Monday, April 7 – Moon in Cancer, VC 2:14 pm. Let your feelings tell you what are the most important things to do first. You may feel blocked in your actions by other people’s emotional outbursts. Everyone is sensitive today. Mercury enters Aries to give your mind a sharp, focused, hot way of thinking. He helps you get right to the point but also makes you impatient with someone else’s wordiness. Recheck the smoke alarms and other safety devices in your home.

Tuesday, April 8 – Moon in Leo. There’s fire in the air and you’ll want to rush out and roar. Today is the midpoint of the Mars retrograde period. You may have some moments of explosive outbursts that come from the past weeks of frustration. It may be time to reconsider any new direction you’ve headed toward. Stay loving and kind as you address imbalances in your relationships.

Wednesday, April 9 – Moon in Leo. You have a large amount of energy to pursue your passions. You’ll do best working on your own agenda and at your own pace as you do not want to be told what to do. You must express your creativity in some way once you get today’s and tomorrow’s work done. Go out on a special date with your loved one.

Thursday, April 10 – Moon VC Leo, enters Virgo 6:08 pm. Today is a good day to send in your taxes so they will slip in under the radar. Recreate your childhood sense of wonder about the world and look at everything and everyone you see today with a child’s innocence. Turn your daily work into a game. Save the important communications until this evening.

Friday, April 11 – Moon in Virgo. You will have to slow down to pay attention to what you are doing and ignore the part of you that wants to run ahead and leave things unfinished. It’s a big picture vs. little details of life conflict. It will be a very romantic evening with fantasies taking over, the kind of night when her godmother appeared to Cinderella. Act out your dreams.

Saturday, April 12 – Moon in Virgo, VC 1:12 pm. Work hard in the morning and get your chores done. It’s a day to fix things and make preparations for Spring. Sort through your closets, pantry, and medicine chests and look for things that need to be thrown away or recycled. Take the dog for a long walk – it will be good for both of you.

Sunday, April 13 – Moon in Libra. This will be a lovely day. Put your worries aside and create a peaceful space where you can relax. Buy some flowering bushes or a new houseplant. Go look at art and then wander around and take pictures. Make sure to do something with a friend, partner, or lover. If you have something you need to talk about, it’s a good time to do so. Enjoy today’s serenity, as the next few days will be rocky ones.

Mars continues to move backwards all month making you feel like you’re trying to run in a swampy marsh. Take deep breaths and stay loose. This too shall pass.
