Defying gravity, capoeira dancers lightened things up with acrobatic spins and leaps, and thrusts and dodges in the gym. Spectators joined in after watching the exhibition. More Photos [More Photos]

M.V. Regional High School held its first Brazilian Day last Friday, May 21. Events and demonstrations were held throughout the day to celebrate Brazil. There was  capoeira in the gym, Brazilian food in the culinary dining room, and jiujitsu in the library. Some students came to school wearing green, yellow, and blue — Brazil's colors — and others carried flags.
