Islanders
will have another chance to see Marjory and Robert Potts's film "Their
Lives in Art: Robert Henry and Selina Trieff" when it is shown
as part of Richard Paradise's Silver Screen Society program at the
Katharine Cornell Theatre this Sunday, Jan. 16, at 7:30 pm.

Maisy
the mouse, from Lucy Cousins' books, is visiting Island libraries
and bringing smiles to the faces of her young fans.
The Martha's Vineyard Library Association's children's librarians
invited Maisy to the Island. Bring the youngsters to meet
the adventure-loving mouse this Saturday at the Edgartown
Public Library; Tuesday at the Vineyard Haven Public Library;
and next Saturday, Jan. 22, at the Chilmark Public Library.

beauty shines in Simon calendar
Every
Vineyard calendar has its own charm, but for sheer, lush, gorgeousness
Peter Simon's can't be beat. As he has for many years, this accomplished
photographer has wrapped up the months ahead in a package of views
from all across the Island, each more compelling than the next.

Boston
speaker highlights NAACP event
Carol
Fulp, vice president of Community Relations for John Hancock Financial
Services in Boston, will be the featured speaker at the Martha's Vineyard
NAACP's annual Martin Luther King Jr. dinner next Tuesday, Jan. 18.
The festive evening, which also includes an awards ceremony, will
be held at the Harbor View Hotel in Edgartown.

heady mix of funk, soul, rock, and acoustic hip-hop. DJ Lee
and Will Gray rapped, sang, and beat-boxed over the swift-fingered
guitar playing of Jason Hamlin.

deadline is firm. It is the sole discretion of The Timess
editorial staff to determine if and how an entry is listed
in the Directory of Information. Remember that The Times

Submitting
a Calendar Listing:
Include the name of the event, date and time,
location, short description, admission or fee charged (specify
if its free), and contact phone number. If the event
is a benefit, please include the name of the sponsor/s and
where proceeds will go.
