In her work, Ms. Fulp directs the corporate grants, matching gifts,

Carrie Tankard, NAACP vice president who oversees the event each year,
said that the organizations new president, Marie Allen, recommended
Ms. Fulp as an inspiring speaker. Ms. Tankard said that the group
often searches for guest speakers who were actively involved in civil
rights activities and marches in the past. Other speakers are chosen
because of their willingness to share experiences working in community
roles to further civil rights and those who exemplify achievements
in a variety of fields.
