ASTROLOGY:
Year of the Wood Rooster
March
3, 2005
By
Arlan Wise
The Chinese New
Year, and LOSAR, the Tibetan New Year, began on February 9, 2005.
In their system of astrology, this is the year of the wood rooster,
or bird. When the five elements and 12 signs combine, the cycle is
60 years, which makes 2005 resemble 1945. Wood rooster years are fertile
ones, crops are good, and any business connected with wood or metal
thrives. It’s a year to stay near home and strut around the
yard.
The written materials on wood rooster years make it sound very Saturnian.
There’s an emphasis on law and order. It’s a year to straighten
up, pay off your debts, and put your life back into order. This is
the year for strategic planning. It’s a good year to lose weight,
reduce your excess, and be frugal. The rooster is called the taskmaster,
one of Saturn’s names.
The negative writings speak of an unusual number of earthquakes. It
is an unlucky year for marriage. Roosters don’t like water and
so businesses concerned with water don’t do well. It will be
a slow year for the fishing industry.
You are a rooster if you were born in 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969,
1981, 1993.
Mercury turns retrograde on March 19. Use this time well so you can
coast through the three Mercury retrograde weeks.
Thursday, March 3 Moon in Sagittarius.
This is an energetic day when you’ll feel ready to climb mountains.
You need to address the conflict of what you can actually accomplish
versus what you dream of doing. You will have to face the consequences
of overdoing if you don’t think before you act. It’s a
day when you’ll want to go over the top.
Friday, March 4 Moon in Sagittarius, VC from
4:45 pm until 5:12 pm when it enters Capricorn. This is another high-energy,
somewhat restless day with a promise of artistic breakthroughs. Venus
and Uranus come together to shake up your love life. They want to
give you one of those special moments you’ll always remember.
Take a risk and let it happen. Mercury enters Aries, making it easier
to say what you mean.
Saturday, March 5 Moon in Capricorn. It’s
a first-rate, serious day to take care of work, errands, chores, and
responsibilities. Do all the work today; tomorrow is a VC day. You’ll
be able to follow your list and schedule and zip along from morning
to night, accomplishing and achieving. Words have healing power today;
you can find the right ones to help a friend.
Sunday, March 6 Moon VC Capricorn, enters
Aquarius 6:49 pm. VC Sundays are a true day off. Relax. Follow your
favorite Sunday routine. Chill out.
Monday, March 7 Moon in Aquarius. Mars stands
opposite to Saturn today, making this a day of reckoning. Think of
yourself as a crash test dummy and today is the test that shows how
secure you’ve made your life. It’s hard to move with speed
or try to enter new territory without great frustration. Today will
feel like walking in the deep snow.
Tuesday, March 8 Moon in Aquarius, VC from
10:28 am until 7:32 pm when it enters Pisces. The VC energy adds to
yesterday’s feeling of running up against a wall. It does give
you discipline and the ability to keep your focus. Get up early to
take care of what must be done today. Take it real slow for the rest
of the day. Catch up on reading trade journals and newsletters.
Wednesday, March 9 Moon in Pisces.
The mysticism of Pisces colors the day. Your right brain is enhanced.
Let your imagination flow. It’s not the time to catch up from
the beginning of the week. It’s a day for art, poetry, and music.
Tonight is the dark of the moon, because it’s Pisces, it’s
a night for breaking through to the other side.
Thursday, March 10 Moon in Pisces, VC from
11:44 am until 9:03 pm when it enters Aries. New moon in Pisces is
a magical day. Listen to spiritual music. Spend some time and effort
to doing volunteer work. Help someone who is in need. Visit an elderly
friend or neighbor. Help a sick or overwhelmed friend. Write a big
check to the tsunami fund. Meditate on the sea. |
