Autobiography told in jazz notes

Coming Up For Air: An Autojazzography" will be performed at the Vineyard Playhouse next weekend. The show will be performed by jazz saxophonist Stan Strickland. It was written and is directed by Jon Lipsky. Don't miss this workshop production of an exciting new show.

Vineyard Conservation Almanac

Winter Botany 101


On Friday, March 4, from 10 am to 3 pm, the grounds of the Polly Hill Arboretum will become the ideal “classroom” to study woody plants in winter. Join Dr. Rick Churchill for winter field botany experience. Class will be indoors and out. Bring a bag lunch. 10X lenses will be available. $54, or $45 for PHA members.

The deadline for all Calendar submissions is every Monday at noon for Thursday’s issue. This deadline is firm. It is the sole discretion of The Times’s editorial staff to determine if and how an entry is listed in the Directory of Information. Remember that The Times also accepts paid advertisements for events: 508-693-6100.

Submitting a Calendar Listing:

Include the name of the event, date and time, location, short description, admission or fee charged (specify if it’s free), and contact phone number. If the event is a benefit, please include the name of the sponsor/s and where proceeds will go.

All information must be submitted in writing only. Telephone submissions cannot be accepted. Incomplete submissions delay the editorial process and will not be published. All submissions are subject to editing.
