on Thursday, March 31. Ms. LaRoque will tour the east coast to promote

and Drunk In A Kiss is the labels first release.
Music to welcome spring by
The Performing Arts Center at the Marthas Vineyard Regional
High School will be filled next week with beautiful music played by
Island students. The All-Island Orchestra Program will perform their
annual spring concert on Tuesday, March 29 at 6:30 pm.
The orchestra music program offers lessons in five elementary schools
and the high school. Nancy Jephcote and Nancy Hawksbee use a modified
Suzuki approach to introduce the children in the lower grades to their
instruments. Mrs. Hawksbee will conduct the Junior High Orchestra
with works including Hall of the Mountain King and Pink
Panther Theme. The High School String Orchestra will also perform.
On Thursday, March 31 at 7 pm, the Freshman and Mixed Choruses along
with the high school Jazz Band will perform in concert. The varied
selections range from Mozart to jazz standards to Disney.
Both concerts are free; however, donations to support the music programs
will be welcomed.

Jump over the moon and win big
Do you have an idea to help our community? Garelick Farms wants to
know. If your idea bowls them over, you can win $25,000 to make your
idea happen.
Submit an essay, song, video, poster or some other form of expression,
and let Garelick Farms know how the grand prize would make your community
a better place. The $25,000 prize will be awarded for the idea that
has the most positive impact on the lives of those in our community.
This contest seems tailor-made for creative Islanders who are also
conscientious citizens. Get the creative juices flowing. The deadline
for the Over The Moon Dream Big Contest is May 30. Visit www.overthemoonmilk.com
for all the details.
