I hope everyone
had a wonderful Easter weekend. We certainly had great fun. The weather
was wonderful, the kids were happy, the Easter Bunny was generous
and Phil and Shirley cooked. What more could I ask for?
Happy anniversary wishes go out to Gloria and Warren Norton, who celebrated
65 years together on March 25.
Bob Morgan remains a patient at the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at
Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He has been surrounded by
his family since he became ill a couple of weeks ago and at last report
he has had a few good days, which is wonderful news. May the good
days and good news continue until we get him back here on his own
turf. If anyone wants to send along notes and well wishes, he loves
to hear from people. Cards and letters will reach him at P.O. Box
841 Edgartown, MA 02539.
Don't forget the information sessions being held on Tuesday and Thursday
nights from 5:30 until 7:30 pm regarding the library expansion project.
If you have any questions, want further information, or would just
like to see some of the schematics, stop by and someone will be happy
to provide you with the details of the project. I've been asked to
remind everyone that two articles must pass at town meeting on April
12 in order for the project to move forward and neither article requires
any financing. To continue with the grant process, voters at town
meeting must approve the project design, as well as approve the application,
receiving, and expenditure of a state grant, which will match funds
already expended for the purchase of the Warren House last year. So,
if you need more information before town meeting or if you are on
the fence about the project, stop by the library and get your questions
answered.
I'm still not getting much news from readers! I'd love to hear from
you all and share your news and adventures. Please call or e-mail
me with anything you would like to share. I usually write my columns
on Sunday night and e-mail them off bright and early Monday mornings
before one of my other jobs. So, if you can get me information
by Sunday afternoon, I'll share it with the world the following Thursday.
Have a great week.
