Holocaust memorial

Daniel Golomb, PhD, a holocaust survivor, will be the guest speaker at the Martha's Vineyard Hebrew Center's Holocaust Memorial Day Shabbat service, Friday, May 6 at 5:30 pm. Mr. Golomb's talk, “Shattered Windows,” will follow a brief service lead by Rabbi Caryn Broitman.

Mr. Golomb will touch upon memories of time spent in the Nazi concentration camps. He was liberated on April 30, 1945. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the liberation and commemorative services are being held in synagogues nationwide.

Mr. Golomb is a semi-retired professor at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, teaching and conducting research in environmental sciences.

The Martha's Vineyard Hebrew Center is located on Center Street in Vineyard Haven.
