Planting by the moon is quite simple. All you have to do is know the sign the moon is in because water and earth signs are fertile, air and fire signs are barren. Plant when the moon is in: Cancer, Pisces, Scorpio, Taurus, or Capricorn. Weed when the moon is in Gemini, Aquarius, Aries, Leo, or Sagittarius. The exceptions are Virgo, who is barren and Libra, which is a good sign for planting flowers.

Plants grow best when the moon is increasing in light, that is, growing from new moon to full moon. When the moon looks like it has the curve of a D, it is increasing. When it looks like a C, it is on the wane, decreasing. Mow your lawn under a Leo, Virgo, or Gemini moon, preferably when the moon is in the last quarter to slow growth.

Thursday, May 19
Moon in Libra. Neptune begins his retrograde phase. It will feel like a foggy day, no matter the external weather. You will wonder where your energy went. Your illusions and projections will cloud the reality of the situation. Watch for buried, neglected feelings to arise. It is an auspicious day for spiritual pursuits.

Friday, May 20
Moon in Libra, VC 8:40 pm. Enjoy the final bits of Taurus energy before the sun enters Gemini at 6:47 pm. It will be the last time you will feel grounded before you lose your footing. Devote yourself to beauty today. Plant flowers and flowering bushes. Go outside, stop, and really see the wonders of Mother Nature.

Saturday, May 21
Moon in Scorpio. Try to do as much gardening as you can today and tomorrow, as these are ripe fertile days. You’ll do better when you stay in the garden than when you address emotional issues. There’s a thread back to the lunar eclipse on April 24. What did not get resolved then will come back to be dealt with.

Sunday, May 22
Moon in Scorpio. Confrontations will be difficult today, as each side will hear what he/she wants to hear. Communication is fuzzy. Use this energy in your spiritual practice. It’s another intense day. Work off your emotional storms in the garden. Put your upsetness into the earth.

Monday, May 23 Moon VC Scorpio, enters Sagittarius 11:38 am. Today’s full moon brings hope and optimism. Meditate outdoors and ask for knowledge. You’ll find a new pace at work. There will be more to do and you will have to learn to move faster. Exercise your body and feed your mind. Stay out of the garden except to weed.

Tuesday, May 24 Moon in Sagittarius. It’s time to expand your business and the parameters of your life. Contact overseas friends and arrange a business/travel trip. If you have something to sell, this is a good time to push it. There’s a loving feeling to the day. Get lost in your favorite music. It’s a night for fantasy.

Wednesday, May 25 Moon VC Sagittarius, enters Capricorn 1:11 pm. Take care of personal matters in the morning. The afternoon starts a two-day period that is excellent for consolidating your business and advancing your career. Make a plan and refine your daily schedule. Ask an older person for help.

Thursday, May 26 Moon in Capricorn. Today is a time when you can purge all the wishful thinking from your mind. You will see things as they really are and be able to make much better decisions. You will work with discipline and focus. Make an action plan for the summer. Set your goals for your career.

Friday, May 27 Moon in Capricorn, VC from 11:22 am until 2:10 pm when it enters Aquarius. Use every minute for work up until 11:22 am. Then take a break and finish up what you started this week. Sit down and get off your feet and into your mind this afternoon. Gather with friends tonight.

Saturday, May 28 Moon in Aquarius. There is a benefit from mingling in group activities today. It is not a weekend to plant, as this is a barren moon. Go to a conference or workshop. You’ll enjoy sharing thoughts and learning something new. Meet up with your smart friends, the ones who love to play in their minds.

Sunday, May 29
Moon VC Aquarius, enters Pisces 4:08 pm. This is a classic lazy Sunday. Lie in the hammock as much as you want. Read the Sunday papers and linger over your favorite sections. Venus and Pluto confront each other, which brings up the power imbalances in your relationships. They will tell you if the relationship is in its final stages.

Monday, May 30 Moon in Pisces. This is a magical day when wishes come true. It is a lucky day when you can make things go your way. Be careful what you wish for, as Uranus stands ready to give you a big surprise. Use your intuition to help you see other perspectives. Find time to walk by the water and listen.

Tuesday, May 31 Moon in Pisces, VC from 1:53 pm until 8:07 pm when it enters Aries. Things will start quietly, you may want to extend your holiday, but the evening holds some shocking news. The sun and Uranus square off and explosions and disruptions will result. There is need for caution and alertness whenever Uranus is active.

Wednesday, June 1
Moon in Aries. Stay busy, you will be happiest when you are doing your own thing. Pay attention and be alert while you whiz through the day. The energy is unstable and there is a potential for danger. Try not to rush to the detriment of someone else.

Thursday, June 2 Moon in Aries. Those odd and crazy thoughts will have a lot of truth in them. Pay attention as the unsettled energy continues. A longstanding situation will come to a head and there be an explosive altercation. People will get very angry; tempers will reach the boiling point. Keep your cool today.
