Art show for good cause

Family Planning of Martha’s Vineyard’s annual art show, sale, and opening party is a bright highlight of every Memorial Day weekend. The 16th annual show opens with a benefit gala on Thursday, May 26, and continues through Sunday, May 29. This year’s gala, always a great opportunity to socialize and celebrate the new art season, promises to be more fun than ever, with hors d’oeuvres by Park Corner Bistro and upbeat music by DJ Diana.

With recent changes in government funding, Family Planning needs strong local support to enable it to continue serving growing community needs. Offering high quality work by dozens of local artists, the show is an important fundraiser for this worthy agency.

Family Planning Art Show and Sale, Fri. May 27 - Sun., May 29, 10 am – 6 pm. Free. Opening gala, Thurs., May 26, 6-8 pm. $35. For info call 508-693-1208.
