Engagements August 4, 2005 Cindy M. Griesser and Timothy B. Corner Cindy M. Griesser and Timothy B. Corner, both of Oak Bluffs, announced their engagement on June 5. Cindy is the daughter of the late Manuel and Eleanor Burgess of Vineyard Haven. Tim is the son of Wesley and the late Jacqueline Corner of Florida. The couple will be married on Aug. 27 on State Beach. Norma J. Meade and Christopher B. Draves Mr. and Mrs. William John Meade, Jr. of Bradenton, Fla. and Denmark, Maine, formerly of Sudbury, announce the engagement of their daughter, Norma Joan “Nicki” Meade to Christopher Brian Draves, son of Mr. and Mrs. Brian George Draves of Scituate. Ms. Meade is a native of Martha’s Vineyard and is the granddaughter of the late Norman and Mary Agnes Hanna and is the great-niece of Mrs. Mabel McCarthy and Mrs. Doris Thorington, all of Oak Bluffs. Ms. Meade is employed as a development and alumni relations professional by School Year Abroad and is also the executive director of sales and marketing for Persimmon Lane. Mr. Draves is the vice president of Master Associates, a manufacturer’s representative firm, located in Hingham. The wedding is scheduled for October 23 and will be held at Saint Mary of the Nativity Catholic church in Scituate. |
